Tera Shipping's Success: Oil and Gas Cargo Journey

Tera Shipping in Malaysia recently achieved a smooth transportation of oil and gas cargoes to Sundong Shipyard in South Korea. This success highlights the effective coordination of Tera Shipping's project team in managing logistics from the client's location to the final destination.

The cargo, comprising nine packages with a total weight of 643 tonnes and a volume of 3,614 cubic meters, presented a challenge. The largest unit, measuring 18.5 m x 15 m x 12.7 m and weighing 605 tonnes, required careful handling throughout the process.

Tera Shipping used Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) to move the large unit to a private jetty. The unit was then loaded onto a barge for transport to Port Klang. At the port, a double banking operation efficiently loaded the unit onto a heavy lift vessel chartered by Tera Shipping, which then departed for South Korea.
